Biometric Notice & Consent

Effective Date: April 29, 2026

Last Updated: April 29, 2026

This Biometric Notice & Consent applies when you enable camera-based attention, gaze, calibration, or related biometric measurement features in ApertIQ.

What ApertIQ collects if you enable tracking

If you enable camera-based tracking, ApertIQ may collect and process:

  • real-time camera input while the feature is active;
  • calibration inputs and calibration results;
  • derived gaze, attention, calibration, and quality-related measurements;
  • eye-, face-, or head-pose-related measurement outputs generated by our software;
  • timestamps and session-linked telemetry associated with those measurements; and
  • limited eye-region calibration and validation artifacts, such as normalized eye crops and labeled calibration or validation targets or samples.

What ApertIQ does not store by default

By default, ApertIQ does not store raw full-frame camera images or raw video from your device. Camera input is processed in real time to generate derived measurement outputs used to operate the assessment and report.

Why ApertIQ collects and uses this data

ApertIQ uses camera-based and biometric-related data to:

  • operate the assessment and related camera-based features;
  • calibrate and validate tracking;
  • estimate gaze, attention, and related signals during the session;
  • generate and support your report;
  • improve tracking accuracy, measurement quality, and system reliability;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, misuse, or security incidents; and
  • debug, maintain, and improve the Services.

How long ApertIQ retains this data

Unless a shorter period is required by law, ApertIQ retains limited eye-region calibration and validation artifacts, linked derived biometric session-quality data, and related identifiable biometric-related outputs for up to 12 months after your last interaction with the Services. Runtime telemetry and linked event batches are retained for up to 12 months after collection. After that, ApertIQ will delete or de-identify the data unless a longer period is required by law or is necessary to investigate a specific fraud, abuse, security incident, dispute, or legal hold.

How ApertIQ may share this data

ApertIQ may share this data with service providers that help operate the Services, such as hosting, cloud storage, security, analytics, and technical infrastructure providers, and where required by law or necessary to protect rights, property, or safety. ApertIQ does not sell raw full-frame camera images, raw video, or identifiable derived gaze, calibration, or attention data as standalone data feeds to third parties.

Your choices

Camera-based tracking is optional unless a particular assessment flow clearly states otherwise. If you decline camera permission or do not consent, some camera-enabled features may be limited or unavailable, and some assessment flows may continue without biometrics where supported.

Consent

By selecting “I Agree,” you:

  • acknowledge that you have read this Biometric Notice & Consent;
  • consent to ApertIQ’s collection, storage, use, and disclosure of the biometric-related data described above for the purposes described above;
  • authorize ApertIQ to access your device camera while the feature is active; and
  • agree that ApertIQ may retain such data for the period described above, subject to applicable law.

If you do not agree, select “Cancel” and do not enable camera-based tracking.
